APPLICANTS MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA FOR SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited Maryland nursing education program.

  • Be a resident of Maryland.

  • Be scheduled to receive the pursued nursing degree in 2026 or 2027.

  • Have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.

  • Demonstrate commitment to, and potential for, leadership in nursing.

  • Submit a letter of application.

  • Upload at least two letters of reference, with at least one reference from a current nursing faculty member.

  • If a Registered Nurse, must be a member of the Maryland Nurses Association for at least six months.

  • Has not previously received a scholarship from the NFM.

Please Note:  Scholarship awardees will be invited and encouraged to attend the 123RD Maryland Nurses Association Annual Convention Scholarship Awards Event. Details will be sent to the scholarship awardees.
