The NFM was founded in 2008 as the fundraising arm of the Maryland Nurses Association to support the nursing workforce by providing scholarship money to nursing students.

Through the generous donations of the nursing community and other benefactors, we have been able to help many students in their pursuit of nursing education.

In 2025, the NFM will award 13 scholarships. Funding to support the NFM’s activities comes from scholarship donations, individual contributions, business donations, bequests, recognitions, and memorials.
