    Douglas Parker Memorial Scholarship

    The Douglas Parker Memorial Scholarship is established by Sadie Parker, the NFM President, to honor the memory of her beloved husband. The recipient of this scholarship will be a nursing student pursuing a BSN (Baccalaureate in Nursing) degree. The applicant needs to demonstrate academic achievement with a GPA of 3.0 or higher, be a resident of Maryland, and demonstrate community service. The recipient will be awarded $1,000.

    Maryland General Hospital School of Nursing Alumnae Association Education Scholarship

    The Maryland General Hospital School of Nursing Alumnae Association awards one scholarship of $1,000.00. Preference will be given to the student enrolled in an Associate Degree Nursing program. The recipient must demonstrate financial need in addition to academic achievement and community service.

    Travis Nursing Scholarship

    The Travis Nursing Scholarship is established to honor the memory of the mother of long-time MNA/ANA member and MNA President, Patricia Travis, RN, PhD, CCRP. The beneficiary needs to exemplify academic achievement, leadership, and community service. The scholarship is for $1,000.

    The Maryland Association of Associate Degree Nursing Directors (MAADND) Scholarship

    The Maryland Association of Associate Degree Nursing Directors (MAADND) Scholarship is awarded to an Associate Degree nursing student who demonstrates excellence in the art and science of nursing.  All Associate Degree nursing students who have completed 2 semesters in a Maryland nursing program will be eligible to apply for this $500 scholarship.

    Shauna Parker Memorial Scholarship

    The Shauna Parker Memorial Scholarship was established by Sadie Parker, the NFM President to honor the memory of her beloved daughter. The recipient of this scholarship will be a nursing student pursuing a BSN (Baccalaureate in Nursing) degree. The applicant needs to demonstrate academic achievement with a GPA of 3.0 or higher, be a resident of Maryland, and demonstrate community service. The recipient will be awarded $1,000.

    Nursing Foundation of Maryland Scholarships

    The Nursing Foundation of Maryland awards six $1,000 scholarships to promote nursing education and improved patient outcomes. The recipients will exemplify academic achievement, leadership, and community service. 

    In 2025, the NFM will award six $1,000 scholarships to Associate Degree nursing students in Maryland.

    Two scholarships will be awarded to Baccalaureate or Graduate nursing students in Maryland. This can include an Associate Degree prepared RN licensed in Maryland who is continuing his/her education in an RN to BSN education program in Maryland. The recipient will exemplify academic achievement, leadership, and community service. 

    Two (2) scholarships will be awarded to Baccalaureate or Graduate nursing students in Maryland. This can include an Associate Degree prepared RN licensed in Maryland who is continuing his/her education in an RN to BSN education program in Maryland. The recipient will exemplify academic achievement, leadership, and community service. 

    Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to an individual pursuing an advanced degree in nursing education (this could also be a current faculty member obtaining a higher degree in education).
